Biography

I am Mayor Jeff Lee.  My wife, Mary, and I moved to Grover Beach in 2001 and have loved every minute that we have lived in this city.  We have made many friends, enjoyed many local restaurants and establishments … and are very much looking forward to a time when we can attend the Sizzling Summer concerts or other local recreational events.

SERVICE:

Serving as Mayor has been an honor and a privilege.  I was originally elected to the City Council in 2012, re-elected in 2016 and elected Mayor in 2018.  We have completed many projects, started others and I look forward to continuing what we’ve started…together.  For me, being Mayor is about providing opportunities – for families, for businesses and for visitors – to live, work and play in our great city.

REPRESENTATION:

I have represented the City as a board member on a number of local, regional and state boards…some of the agencies include:

·         the Five Cities Fire Authority

·         the South SLO County Sanitation District.

·         the Integrated Waste Management Authority

·         the Zone 3 Water Advisory Committee,

·         the Central Coast Community Energy

·         the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments

·         the League of CA Cities Transportation, Communication and Public Works committee

PRIORITIES and VISION:

My vision and priorities for our City are based upon my conversations and what I have hear from you.  I have been listening to people and heard that our priorities include:

·         Leading economic recovery efforts and business retention as the City and the region recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic

·          Continuing to fix our streets by implementing the Measure K-14 Street Bond.

·         Supporting housing projects that provide opportunities for safe, affordable housing

·         Ensuring, maintaining and improving public safety and emergency services by our local Police Department and the Five Cities Fire Authority

·         Proactively advocate for the dunes

COMMITMENT:

I bring solid leadership skills and experience to the position of Mayor.  I have been endorsed and supported by nurses, teacher, firefighters as well as your friends and neighbors.

I look forward to continuing to serve as your Mayor and ask for your vote on or before November 3, 2020.  Thank you!
