Biografía

KRISTEN SNEDDON

Occupation: Educator / Businesswoman / Scientist

I’m running for District 4 to bring practical experience and vision to City Hall. Santa Barbara has been my home as a high school and college student, educator, business owner, and parent.  I am grateful for the quality of life my family has enjoyed here and I hope to serve for an even better future.

I am an educator, parent, geophysicist, and business owner. Past Chair of Starr King Parent-Child Workshop, current Chair of Peabody Charter School. Professor of Environmental Geology at SBCC. Proud Santa Barbara High School Don. My college admissions counseling business helps young people plan for their future.

On Council, I will provide strong leadership to:

·       Prioritize preservation of the unique character of our city and neighborhoods in the face of pressure for growth

·       Safeguard our neighborhoods and precious resources

·       Enhance public safety

·       Ensure a sustainable water supply

·       Strengthen our wildland fire protection areas

·       Improve our economic vitality

·       Advocate fiscal responsibility and efficiency

Please join Mayor Helene Schneider, former Mayor Sheila Lodge, Councilmember Jason Dominguez, and Santa Barbara Unified School Board President Kate Parker in supporting my candidacy.
